CHP has been dedicated to providing excellent TPA services since 2005

CHP delivers comprehensive TPA solutions that ensures high-quality community healthcare practices in institutional and criminal justice settings.  Our extensive technical experience includes prior authorizations and utilization management, claims adjudication, health care provider network development and maintenance, provider claim payments, comprehensive data analytics, quality care management, and a high level of customer service to a wide variety of clients.

2005

  • CHP was founded by Colorado physicians to bring community healthcare best practices to the correctional setting
  • CHP began providing third party administration (TPA) and utilization management (UM) services to the Colorado Department of Corrections

2006

  • CHP secures a TPA contract for the Colorado Division of Youth Services, which later expanded to include direct clinical services

2009-2010

  • CHP expands services to Oregon providing TPA services to the Oregon Department of Corrections
  • CHP wins a 10-year contract with Colorado Department of Corrections

2011

  • CHP expands its business to provide direct clinical care to inmates in county jails

2012-2015

  • CHP expands services to Maine county jails
  • CHP expands services to Montana county jails
  • CHP expands services to Colorado county jails

2016-2017

  • CHP expands services to New Mexico county jails
  • CHP expands services to Idaho county jails
  • CHP has continued growth serving Maine county jails

2018-2020

  • CHP expands services in Oregon providing direct clinical services to county jails
  • CHP has continued growth serving Colorado county jails

2022

  • CHP ended direct care services to county jails 

2023

  • CHP expands service to the California Department of State Hospitals
  • CHP changes to current ownership
