Working For CHP

Correctional nursing is the most rewarding specialized field I have worked in. There are daily opportunities to enhance critical nursing and assessment skills in a diverse, controlled, and safe setting.

I enjoy the interactions with the unique population we provide services to--there is so much to learn about each patient we come in contact with.

I love working in corrections and wish I had discovered correctional care years ago. I enjoy watching medical staff as they provide care, support, and concern in a punitive environment.

Corrections will improve your interpersonal and communication style by working with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to ensure successful outcomes for detainees.

I enjoy working for CHP. There is never a dull moment, and every day I learn something new. I can always rely on the diverse personalities and talents to provide new perspectives and insights that challenge me to step out of my comfort zone.
